1. The student must be a member of and be
recommended by his/her Church or sending organization and submit a
letter of recommendation from the leader.
2. The student must have a distinct call of God to prepare for some
definite Christian service and be prepared to enter the field and
loyally work within it for at least three years after qualification, if
possible. A testimony describing the call in detail and an undertaking
to this effect must be provided.
3. The student must demonstrate a genuine need for financial assistance
by completing the Financial Aid Form, available from the Administration
Department.
4. The student must have a sense of commitment to finish the training
(failing which all monies granted must be repaid) and sign an
undertaking accordingly.
5. The student must pay the specified deposit of at least 20% at
registration, whether or not they are a recipient of a bursary or
scholarship.
6. Preference will be given to the following:
6.1. students nearing completion of studies
6.2. students who display consistent academic progress
6.3. students who have financial support from their church or sending
organization
6.4. students who display good attitude and conduct
7. Beyond the automatic academic probation of the first term, those
placed on academic probation thereafter do not qualify for financial
assistance the following year.
8. The student receiving Financial Aid will be required to donate time
in service to the College for a minimum of one hour per week
8.1. This service will be linked to certain departments.
8.2. The time-tithe will not apply to the student who receives Campus
Employment.
9. Should the student be awarded a bursary, the outstanding balance of
the tuition fee has to be paid as per payment plan. Students will not
receive their academic results if their account is in arrears.
10. Second and third year students have to ensure that their student
account has been paid in full before they can be considered for
Financial Aid for the next academic year.
11. Students from the developed world are not eligible for financial
assistance form the College.
12. SADC students are eligible to apply for up to and no more than 40%
bursary assistance. The balance of the fees must be paid by October of
the same academic year. The annual residence fee must be paid in full
before a visa letter (for study permit application) will be issued by
the College.
13. Other foreign students (from the developing or third world) must pay
60% of the tuition fee (includes registration fee), as well as the full
annual residence fee, prior to starting the academic year. The balance
is to be paid by the end of the first semester. Financial assistance
cannot be guaranteed to a foreign student.
